Your time and unique talents are critical to bringing strength and hope to wish kids when they need it the most. In fact, our volunteers are at the heart of every wish experience.
Make-A-Wish volunteers consider their work impactful and meaningful. And, their efforts are rewarded—not in dollars or cents, but in the incredible difference they make in the lives of our wish kids. Volunteers even have the freedom to choose when and how they would like to help transform lives in our community.

Volunteer Types
Wish Granter
Work with a partner to meet with wish kids and their families to help determine their heartfelt wishes, and then work with our staff to make those wishes a reality. This role requires:
- a long-term commitment
- administrative and technical focus with electronic paperwork and electronic communication
- constant and timely communication
- comfort soliciting in-kind support
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply. All wish granters will be required to complete a criminal background check with the organization. Are you bilingual? Please consider volunteering as a Bilingual Wish Granter. We are in need of translator/interpreter support throughout the wish journey.
Wish Support Volunteer
Use your professional skills and knowledge on an as-needed basis to provide much-needed skills such as reading and writing in multiple languages, graphic design, photography, landscaping and more.

Your Make-A-Wish Journey Starts Today

Fill out application: Once you tune in to the introduction video, please complete the volunteer application. This is used as a preliminary screening tool, and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Chat with our staff: After we receive your completed application, you will speak with a staff member to get your questions answered and allow time for us to learn more about you and your interests.
Submit your paperwork: After your conversation and confirming the best volunteer fit, you will be asked to complete a criminal background check and submit final paperwork (dependent on volunteer role selection).
Attend a training: Based on your volunteer role, you may be asked to attend an in-person or virtual training session before you get started. Staff will be in touch with all training requirements. Please note that all Wish Granters must attend a wish-granting volunteer training prior to starting as an active volunteer.
