Managing Our Funds
Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana finances endeavors through corporate sponsorships, special events, foundation grants, and individual contributions. However, we do not solicit funds by telephone and receive no federal or state funding. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, all contributions are deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our financial statements are audited locally by CliftonLarsonAllen LLP.
At Make-A-Wish, we take our responsibility for the monies donated to our cause very seriously and are pleased to confirm that according to the fiscal year 2021 audit results. Our Advancement Team has an exciting opportunity for an Advancement Associate based out of our Central Indiana (Indianapolis) Office. This isn’t the average fund-raising job. It is a chance to take a role in a shift in thinking that will have lasting, positive benefits for generations of families! In this position, you will be responsible for executing and implementing fundraising strategies that generate revenue so we can grant more wishes for children with critical illnesses across Central Indiana. You will also help support the strategy and execution of market related events and generate awareness for our mission. Must be a skilled relationship-builder with knowledge of the area, and have experience managing or supporting fundraising activities.

Our Advancement Team has an exciting opportunity for an Advancement Associate based out of our Southern Ohio (Cincinnati) Office. Key areas of focus include:
- Generating low-cost fundraising revenue by successfully executing organizational fundraising strategies honoring established standard methodologies.
- Building relationships with individuals, businesses and community organizations advancing the Foundation’s profile.
- Engaging, supporting and coaching volunteers to maximize their fundraising efforts.

Our Advancement Team has an exciting opportunity for an Advancement Associate based out of our Northern Ohio (Cleveland) Office. As a member of a Regional Market Team, you will work with board members, volunteers and other key partners to establish and execute a plan for significant growth enabling the chapter to grant at least 1,200 wishes each year. Reporting to the Market Director of Advancement, the ideal candidate must have the ability to generate low-cost fundraising revenue while building relationships with individuals, businesses and community organizations.
